Planning to Build onto your Existing Home?

If you are planning to build onto your existing home, you may want to consult an appraiser or a local Realtor. Adding onto your existing home adds value to your home, but you do not want to over spend on the remodel because you may not get your money out of it when you sell. An appraiser may cost a bit more than a Realtor so if you do not want to spend the money on the appraisal fee, a Realtor will probably charge a $100 or so to do a Comparative Market Analysis. A Realtor can tell you how much your house is worth as is based on the market value and will also be able to tell you how much the market would support with the remodel.
